A Little Bit About Dr. Katie

What TV/books are you currently into?

I would classify myself as a bit of a Bravoholic! TV shows are a luxury these days with two toddlers in the house, but when I’m folding laundry I make sure to take my time so that I can catch up on my Bravo shows (Real Housewives, Summer House, Southern Charm, etc). Otherwise, we always have some type of sports on in our house!

What’s the best vacation/travel memory you’ve ever had?

That has to be going to the Greek Islands for our honeymoon. We rented ATVs on all the islands and it was incredible to explore on our own without any guidance. We are hoping to get back for our 15 year anniversary!

Is there something that has made you laugh/smile recently?

My 1 year old son is obsessed with his toy ukulele and will serenade us every morning, it has to be one of the cutest things I have ever seen! And my very opinionated 3 year old daughter is in a phase where she refuses to wear anything but princess dresses and crowns 24/7 - so there’s that.

What’s the coolest thing you have ever done?

While visiting a friend in Germany, we took a 1,000 meter gondola ride to Zugspitze, which is Germany’s highest peak in the Alps. Absolutely breathtaking.

*What do you want clients to understand about your care as a Pelvic Health Specialist/Physical Therapist at Breathe Life PT?

I feel like I can offer a unique perspective as a mom to two toddlers, who also had struggles with infertility and not a lot of answers. I have been in your shoes, whether it be: feeling lost while trying to conceive, trying to remain active while undergoing fertility treatments, dealing with emotional and physical pain after pregnancy loss, preparing for an unmedicated birth, trying to minimize risk for DRA in pregnancy while exercising, or restoring core and pelvic floor strength postpartum to return to running.
