A Little Bit About Lisa
What/Who inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
While pregnant with my first daughter 7 years ago, I learned (a lot!) about the functions of the pelvic floor and its vital role in our bodies. Through several mom groups I became part of, I noticed that many women shared the same struggles but not many were aware of the tools available to them through education, movement, and physical therapy. It was then that I knew I wanted to help in some way one day and I’m so glad to be here!

What TV/book are you currently into?
Honestly, I have a list of books I’d like to (one day) read for myself, but for now, I’ve been enjoying the Roald Dahl classics with my girls - so far, James and the Giant Peach is our favorite!

What’s your secret talent that no one knows about?
I’m not quite sure I have one, but I do have a fun fact! I was actually the Homecoming Queen my senior year in high school!

What’s the best vacation/travel memory you’ve ever had?
That’s tough! I’d say it’s a tie, so I’ll share two. Many summers while growing up, my family (with extended family) would rent a houseboat on Lake Shasta in bothering California. I have many fond memories of pancake and bacon breakfasts, game nights, water skiing, floating in the lake, star gazing, and roasting marshmallows. I hope to take my girls there someday too! My honeymoon to Kauai was also a trip I will never forget. My husband planned the entire thing and it was unforgettable! From relaxing by the pool, to hiking 7.5 miles up the Hanakapiai trail to the waterfalls, snorkeling, and eating hula pie for dessert on Thanksgiving, it was such a special trip!

What do you want clients to understand about your care as a Pelvic Therapist?
I would hope clients feel that our time together is uniquely fitted just to them. We are all unique, marvelous beings with our own individual needs and it is my sincere hope that those coming to see us will feel heard, valued, and empowered.
